You are too sensitive Ather. If someone isn't forgiving you, just forget it and move on. I'm sure they will soften up one day

Exactly you can't hurt someone and then think badly of them (i.e. they have stone hearts etc) when they don't forgive you.

What would a girl prefer while talking to men (a decent girl), they meet and pay attention to her body before attending to an intelligent person?

What's more respectable for a girl in the onlooking gazes to be a human or a sex object

Well a decent girl shouldn't be free mixing anyway. If she's so keen on presenting herself as an intelligent person she should be doing intelligent things (like getting a degree/working as a professional/ being a good mother etc) and then her actions would speak for intelligence themself.

Issue here is not free mixing or socializing. It is how someone is viwed (perception) based on the outlook. Modesty, defined and practised by the Prophet and his companions, earns women respect for that they are humans and not objects of pleasure for the lusty eyes of indecent men.

Do you think women who are doing intelligent things their physique are not preyed upon by such filthy gazes?

Do you really think that men would pay attention to their intelligence when their eyes are charmed with the beauty of a girl?

You're stereotyping all men. Not all men are nyphomaniacs, you do get decent men as well. Like I said attraction is natural, but pervting (if univited)is wrong and believe it or not, you can tell when a man is checking you out, snapping at him will embarrass him and he's not likely to do it again.

I think to a certain point it would natural to be attracted to a beautiful women, but unless she's dressed to attract attention, then the man should avert his gaze - and yes unless it's a brothal it's rude to stare at anyone.

You're right Sall, but we can't control what people think. But I think men are most likely to have lustfull thoughts for a women dressed like Bipasha Basu than a women wearing less (or no) provacative clothing.

In this project we did in college (about 4 years ago), me and my team asked a group of people (mixed gender) what they thought of a pic of a women in full hijab.

Two of the most outrages replies were:

"She's opperessed"

and

"Beautiful women. Very romantic looking." (this from an elderly white man.

Yes but for men who have a truely dirty mind how does parda stop them perving? They can just undress with their eyes, and the hijab would just add an element of 'mystery' making them think things like "I wonder how beautiful she is that she has to hide her face."

Back in Pakistan I heard an account of this pervert following a women in full burka home, because he wanted to see what she was hiding under the hijab. He was dissapointed to find an old women

There are websites where you can get profiles of models, but you have to be on behalf of an agency and there tends to be a registration fee.

Men aren't meant to admire a unrealted women's anything.

But you know what? Hijab does make a women look respectful, and although most men want a girlfriend who's a tart they want to marry a women who's never even seen a guy and kept herself hidden from their eyes.

You can't make an oppinion on someone by the way they look. That's shallow and backward and silly.

I know girls who wear hijab but are sluts and - I know girls who wear western clothes and are very decent.

ur rite chand... but our problem today is people make comments on us on our clothings .. our physical beauty .. nobody looks inside, our inner beauty .. like sall said nobody cares about the HAYA ... esp men .. as if they can do anything they want.. only we galz need to cover ourselves .. wht about men???

still my question remains the same ..

Yes but why do you want strangers to look at you and understand your 'inner' beauty? I think it is important for people to mind their own buisness and not go around looking at others and making oppions about them.

If a girl wears hijab, don't stare at her wondering if she is really Islamic, and if a girl isn't wearing a hijab don't pry on her. The eyes are men's hijab, they are not meant to look at a women's body.

I think because sex education is such a frowned upon topic in Pakistan, people don't develope that sense of 'maturity', i.e. if you see a man/women scantily dressed, you ignore them, you don't get offended.

Okay now poerty time. I love John Keats, I've already shared with you some of his poetry and the artists which have painted inspired by his poems.

Here is another Keats poem:

To Sleep

O soft embalmer of the still midnight,
Shutting, with careful fingers and benign,
Our gloom-pleas'd eyes, embower'd from the light,
    Enshaded in forgetfulness divine:
O soothest Sleep! if so it please thee, close
In midst of this thine hymn my willing eyes,
Or wait the "Amen," ere thy poppy throws
Around my bed its lulling charities.
Then save me, or the passed day will shine
Upon my pillow, breeding many woes,--
Save me from curious Conscience, that still lords
Its strength for darkness, burrowing like a mole;
Turn the key deftly in the oiled wards,
And seal the hushed Casket of my Soul.

pssst I just went to ßã£îçh's room and heard her singing this song:

"Chocolate - Lime Juice - Ice Cream - Toffeeyan
Pehle Jaise Ab Mere Shauk Hain Kahan
Gudiya - Khilone Meri Saheliyan
Ab Mujhe Lagti Hain Sari Paheliyan
Yeh Kaun - Sa Mod Hai Umra Ka..!"

Obviously she is in a great deal of love, I can't wait to until her shaadi
